A Bitcoin (BSV) wallet for your desktop
Pay people,
not addresses.
SpiffyVault keeps your contacts and your money in one place. Pay someone directly when they're online, or leave it in their encrypted mailbox when they're not. Your keys never leave your computer.
Only you hold the keys to your money.
Your identity comes from your recovery phrase, not an email.
Payments go person to person, not through our servers.
BRC-42 keys, BRC-100 payments, Signal Protocol.
Delivery that waits for them
They're offline.
The payment still arrives.
When someone is online, SpiffyVault pays them directly, computer to computer. When they're not, the payment is encrypted and left in their mailbox. They collect it the next time they open the app.
- No need to agree a time, or ask “are you there?”
- Sealed so only the person you're paying can open it.
- Never collected? Reclaim puts the money back in your wallet.
When Maya is online
Arrives in seconds.
When Maya is offline
Held for her until she's back. You can see it waiting, resend it, or reclaim it.
Sealed mailbox delivery works between SpiffyVault users. It isn't used for payments to BRC-100 payment keys.

Security
Your money stays yours.
SpiffyVault never sees your keys, your balance or who you pay. There's no account to hack, because there's no account.
Keys stay on your computer
Stored in your operating system's secure keychain and used to sign in a separate, isolated process.
One phrase restores everything
Write down your recovery phrase once. It brings back your wallets and your identity on a new computer.
End-to-end encrypted handoff
Payments between SpiffyVault users that wait in a mailbox are sealed with the Signal Protocol. The relay holding them can't read them.
Not available for BRC-100 payments.
Checks the chain itself
SpiffyVault keeps its own copy of the block headers, so it doesn't have to take a server's word for your balance.
Works with other BRC-100 wallets
Share your payment key and anyone using a BRC-100 compatible wallet can pay you, and you can pay them, without swapping addresses.
BRC-100 payments are delivered the BRC-100 way, without SpiffyVault's sealed mailbox.

Questions
What does “testnet beta” mean?
The first release of SpiffyVault works only on the BSV testnet, a public copy of the network used for testing. Testnet coins are free and worth nothing, so you can try every feature without risking money. Don't send real BSV to a testnet address: it can't arrive and may be lost. Support for real BSV comes in a later release.
What is BSV?
Bitcoin SV is a Bitcoin network built for very low fees, which makes small, everyday payments practical. SpiffyVault works with BSV only.
Does SpiffyVault hold my money?
No. Your keys are created and kept on your computer. We can't see, move or freeze your funds.
What if I lose my computer?
Install SpiffyVault on another computer and enter your recovery phrase. Without the phrase, nobody, including us, can recover your wallet.
How does paying someone who's offline work?
Between SpiffyVault users, the payment is encrypted for them and held by a relay until their app next comes online and collects it. If they never do, you can reclaim it. Sealed mailbox delivery isn't available for BRC-100 payments.
What does it cost?
SpiffyVault is free. During the testnet beta, payments use free test coins. On the main network you'll pay the normal BSV network fee on each payment, typically a fraction of a cent.
When is the mobile app coming?
